Today in class, we have a number of tasks to accomplish:

• Class exercise F2F
• Set up Google Alerts, using your Gmail address created for this class
• Using your class Gmail address, create a Google + personal page
• Again using your Gmail account, set up a Slideshare account
• You will create a brief presentation-  based on the class exercise
• Then embed your Slideshare in a blog post
• Cross post to your Google +, using 'share' button

Some tips...

• You can use your native language for Google + Platforms set up - it is easier when using new tech
• Posts + work can be in ENG or FR
• Experiment + Explore - you can ALWAYS go back and change things
• Profiles - what do you want to be known for...vs. experience + current status

 Communication - problems, questions

• First, look for a tutorial or video, in your native language
• We will invite you to a private community in Google +
• You can post questions, comments...problems...in the private community
• ANYONE can answer...monitor, classmates, teaching assistant...feel free to share your expertise
• I will Hangout Online each Wednesday 1 to 2 PM - questions, problems - come by and chat
